Music News for November 9, 2012-November 11, 2012

Rock and Alternative

Bombay Bicycle Club has just announced that they will be headlining a charity gig in London next month. The band will play at London’s KOKO venue on December 22 as part of the three-week-long festival, “Freedom from Torture Presents…” which starts on December 2. Tickets for Kings of Leon’s shows in November go on sale on October 9th. The band expects to release a new album in 2013. They will then play shows in London, Manchester and Birmingham in June and July. Tickets for those shows go on sale November 9th. They will play the O2 Arena (June 12 and 13), the Manchester Arena (June 24 and 25), and Birmingham’s LG Arena (July 9 and 10). Blink-182 has announced that they’ll be releasing a new EP during Christmas time. Bassist and singer, Mark Hoppus, said that new songs from the band will be on their way in a new album in 2013.

Electronic and Dance

Kraftwerk will play a series of career-spanning concerts early next year. The band will go through eight of their albums in chronologic order, while playing some additional songs. To buy tickets, make sure to check out tickets.de.

Pop and R&B

Alicia Keys unveiled a new piano ballad titled “Brand New Me”, which is all about personal growth. This new song will appear on her new upcoming album called Girl on Fire.


Kenny Chesney will play 17 stadium dates for his 2013 No Shoes Nation Tour. The dates start on March 16 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. Other artists such as Eric Church, the Eli Young Band, and Kasey Musgraves will also be featured on the tour (several tour dates will also include the Zac Brown Band).

Taylor Swift recently performed in New York City when her album Red landed. She sang many of her hits and this performance was presented by her own fragrance, Wonderstruck Enchanted.
